How to Increase the WordPress maximum upload file size

If you ever encountered this issue, first of all it is not WordPress issue. Typically, the WordPress maximum upload file size is a server back end setting that need to be tweak which also means that this setting can't be tweak from within WordPress.  The reason there is such limit in place is to prevents users from flooding your website with huge data uploads causing your web server performance to degrade. Theoretically, this is good for the sake of security and efficiency. However, the default upload size of 2MB just no longer practical and applicable nowadays especially for a very rich content websites. The only way to resolve this issue is to tweak the setting from cPanel PHP version. It allowed user to change the upload size from as low as 2MB to 1GB depends on the file size that you wish to upload. Our recommendation is to set it to 128MB which is some where in between and it is advisable to change back the upload file size setting to its default setting once the file upload task is completed to avoid any unwanted flooding from user as mentioned above. To tweak this setting from cPanel, please click the link below to download the step by step guides on how to achieve this.
